Question - Understand - Engage - Share - Transition
Q.U.E.S.T. is a team-designed school life curriculum used to enhance the living and learning experiences of all Pomfret students. Each Form will focus on a specific set of guiding questions and a thematic track throughout the year, while engaging across the four pillars: Beyond The Hilltop, Character and Leadership Development, Health and Wellness, and Social Justice and Diversity. Full participation in Q.U.E.S.T. is a graduation requirement and students will be graded on an Honors/Pass/Fail grading system. Q.U.E.S.T. weekends are on the School's calendar and can also be accessed on the schedule page of this site. If you have any questions about Q.U.E.S.T. please contact Dolph Clinton, Dean of Students.

Through Q.U.E.S.T. we will...
- have deeper engagement and learning between faculty and students.
- help our students become better informed about their world and better prepared to make a difference.
- become healthier as faculty and students
- have greater interaction with a wider range of students and adults.
- create an even more purposeful learning environment that extends outside of the formal classroom.
The Four Pillars
The Q.U.E.S.T. curriculum is supported by our Four Pillars of student life:
Beyond the Hilltop
Character and Leadership Development
Health and Wellness
Social Justice and Diversity
The syllabus of each pillar is created yearly by a team of faculty members from myriad academic and administrative departments. The Pillar teams are responsible for designing the curriculum, implementing the lessons, and evaluating the program.

The Form Teams
Each of the four forms, will approach the pillar topics through a specific thematic lens:
Form III - Identity
Form IV - Community
Form V - Service
Form VI - Legacy
The Form Teams are made up of members of the faculty and administration, and are led by the Form Deans. The members of the Form Teams serve as active guides that assist with the implementation of the lessons and support the students in their charge. The Form Teams are also responsible for establishing classroom norms and culture, and for assessing student engagement and learning.
